There was a nice turn out for the August meeting with some old members returning and new friends welcomed. Bob, KD2TRG gave an in-depth presentation on the nanoVNA, a low cost handheld Vector Network Analyzer using DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology developed in 2019. Bob’s presentation materials, including some links to web resources including videos can be found at this Google Drive link. Some more hands on practical use of the nanoVNA might be forthcoming – there are plans in the works to construct some NVIS antennas and the nano would be ideal to have on hand for testing these.
Richie KD2NJA brought some fantastic coffee cake! We will be doing another run of club shirts and suggested we do a run of baseball hats (see Bob, WB2NFL). Ken, KD2DZZ can get us a good price on hi-visibility vests which are ideal for working road race events.
