Our Summer Field Day was a great success and a great time was had by all. We put up the tent on Friday night and set up tables. Saturday morning we started to set up antennas and radios but not before we stuffed ourselves with Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon, Coffee and juice. We started at 7am and were ready to go by 11am – all set for the 2pm start, but not before we had lunch at 1pm Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, homemade salads, Raw clams on the half shell. 2pm we started, very slow at first but as soon as the sun went down the action started. We made a lot of contacts and before you know it, you got it… Dinner time! Members brought their wives and we enjoyed a feast, Baked Clams, Lemon chicken, Beef Stroganoff, Baked Ham, Sweet Potato Casserole, Vegetables, Salad, and Clams Shrimp with Linguini. Ok, back to the Radios we made more contacts and had a Great Time and just when you couldn’t eat anymore out came Desert: homemade Linzer tart cookies and a Strawberry Nutella Chocolate Cake, also homemade. Our host Gail Drevermann did a Great Catering Job!
