Preston, W2PW who operates the WR2UHF repeater gave a great presentation to our club last night going over many aspects of DMR, D-Star, Fusion, and All-star. WR2UHF ( 444.700 MHz ) is, at times, connected as a node on the East Coast Reflector (which is actually a coast to coast US IRLP network – see http://eastcoastreflector.com) very popular in our area. Preston brought a couple portable raspberry pi-based All-star nodes (based on the information found at https://www.hamvoip.org) and did a live demonstration connecting to nodes in real time and operating the system from a laptop.
